We are back now that Week One of the 2026 NFL regular season is complete.

Seven snappers started for new teams this week, three of which were rookies. The last two Mannelly Award winners Beau Gardner (Bears) and Rocco Underwood (Eagles) along with Ben Mann (Giants) made their NFL debuts and each of their clubs won. Veteran snappers Tucker Addington (Dolphins), Joe Cardona (Rams), Casey Kreiter (Cardinals) and Alex Ward (Raiders) also snapped for new teams.

Since the last blog post, teams with two snappers reduced to one that resulted in Peter Bowden (Chargers), Luke Basso (Broncos), Tyler Duzansky (Raiders), Garrison Grimes (Jets), Philip Florenzo (Falcons), Cal Adomitis (Packers), Scott Daly (Buccaneers) and Niko Lalos (Patriots) being waived or released. Daly spent some time recently on the Packers practice squad and Basso did the same in Denver but both have since been waived.

Recent workouts happened in late July in Green Bay when Adomitis was signed that also included John Ferlmann and Brent Matiscik. August tryouts occurred in Houston with Jacob Bobenmoyer and Jake McQuaide, Tennessee with Garrison Grimes and Marco Ortiz and Miami with Florenzo, Grimes, and Bryce Robinson. The most recent workout in early September has the Jets working out Grimes.

Finally, Week One had seven snappers making tackles in punt coverage. Addington had two solo stops for Miami, while Rex Sunahara (Browns) tallied one solo tackle. Gardner, Luke Rhodes (Colts), Ross Matiscik (Jaguars), Andrew DePaola (Vikings) and Mitch Fraboni (Broncos) each added an assisted tackle.
