Week Twelve in Review

Week Twelve of the NFL season is done and Zak DeOssie of the Giants had another rough day on short snaps, including a field goal snap that rolled on the ground.  JJ Jansen of the Panthers was involved in the latest snapper contact issue on a late field goal attempt against the Saints.  One official threw a flag claiming Jansen was pulled to the ground after the snap, while another official disagreed and, ultimately, no penalty was called.

Off the field, Rick Lovato of the Eagles received a four-year contract extension that runs through the 2023 season.  Lovato would have been a restricted free agent after the season.

Three snappers recorded tackles in punt coverage.  Patrick Scales (Bears), Casey Kreiter (Broncos) and Lovato (Eagles) each had solo tackles.  The NFL Long Snappers Chart after Week Twelve is below.
