Don Muhlbach of the Lions is about to play in his 200th game today.  That, along with his impressive 14-year career, would normally be included in my Tuesday review of the Week Four action in the NFL.

However, Mulhbach’s accomplishments received the long read treatment in Kyle Meinke’s story a few days ago that appeared on mlive.com.  After reading it, I concluded the story and his remarkable career deserves its own post. Entitled “Death. Taxes. Don Freaking Muhlbach”, the story provides something that a long snapper rarely, if ever, wants… an in-depth profile.

For anyone interested in the mindset of what it takes to excel as a long snapper in the NFL, the story is worth your time.
