With college football season starting soon, the Watch List for the Patrick Mannelly Award, given annually to the snapper judged to be the best among all FBS teams, was announced today.

The initial Watch List has 25 snappers, but there are others under strong consideration for the Award. I am honored to be one of the Award’s founders and look forward to this year, which will be the fourth year it is presented. Apologies to South Alabama, who are incorrectly referred to as Southern Alabama in the announcement.

Ten semi-finalists will be announced on November 14, 2022 and those names will be narrowed to three on November 28, 2022. The three finalists will be invited to a live ceremony on December 10, 2022 in Lake Bluff, Illinois where the Award will be presented. The Award benefits Bernie’s Book Bank, a non-profit organization located in Lake Bluff.
