Week Eight in Review

Week Eight was a rare week of stability at the snapping position with no changes or tryouts. Veteran Josh Harris of the Chargers had a rare bad punt snap that lead to a safety, but otherwise it was a generally uneventful week for snappers after weeks of injuries and changes.

The only transaction during the week involved the Patriots releasing Tucker Addington from its practice squad after Joe Cardona was able to snap the past two weeks. Scott Daly snapped for the Bears although Jake McQuaide remains on the Bears practice squad as of this morning.

Two snappers recorded assisted tackles in punt coverage this week, one from Ross Matiscik (Jaguars) and the other by Trent Sieg (Cowboys).

The NFL Long Snappers Chart after Week Eight is below.
