Week Three in Review

Week Three was another quiet one for snappers, although Tampa Bay lost first-year snapper Evan Deckers with an apparent hamstring injury in the third quarter of Sunday’s game. The team did not punt or kick after the injury, although tight end Cade Otton would have served as the emergency snapper. The Bucs could bring back veteran Zach Triner, who was waived in favor of Deckers at final cuts, if the injury is more serious but no moves have been made as of this morning.

Six snappers made tackles in punt coverage including Joe Cardona (Patriots) who has a solo tackle in each game this season. Thomas Hennessy (Jets) and Jacob Bobenmoyer (Vegas) also had solo stops, while Casey Kreiter (Giants), Christian Kurtz (Steelers) and James Winchester (Chiefs) recorded assisted tackles.
